Getting Paid for Nothing!!
The Aussies are on cloud nine. For a brief period of time last year, in England, it looked like Simon Jones, Pieterson and Flintoff decided it was England's turn to be the Champion Test Team. Their earnest attempt at that didnt last for long though; far too many injuries and consistently inconsistent performances have brought back the English side to terms with reality. Now they know... McGrath can spit fire even after an years' sabbatical; Ponting's hunger for runs will never satiate; Langer, as always, will be a thorn in their flesh and Warney's guile will never be understood by anybody even remotely English.
But, amidst all the glory that this Australian side is enjoying, deservedly, one of their fellow citizens is literally languishing in far-off South Africa. Who said you get paid for doing your job. The laws of Economics sure does get a beating in this case... Here is a person who gets paid for doing absolutely nothing and yet, comments on what someone else is getting paid for..
Greg, better shut your a** and try doing something worth atleast one-tenth of the money that the BCCI pays you.. Or else, this will happen very often in the coming days..

Hey .. Isnt it illogical that the Indian MPs have called for sacking Chappell when there are so many pressing matters to discuss ... They have conveniently forgotten the fact that the BCCI does not come under the Government of India and that their opinion is no more signinificant than the ones made by the common man .. They would better do something to change the fortunes of Indian Hockey instead.......
And using this to criticize chappell is really ridiculous.....
Everything here is illogical. We saw the union agriculture minister engaged in a virutual street fight with jagmohan dalmiya for the post of bcci president when the farmers in vidharba commited suicide. At that time nobody asked sharad pawar to concentrate on pressing matters. Why blame the mps now? Cricket is the only game that commands huge passion in this country. Every indian including the mps have got every right to comment on the pathetic performance of the indian cricket team. And greg chappell has got no right to comment on why the indian mps are getting paid. Believe me one day he will show his middle finger to the whole of inda.
@Bhuvanesh: True, the Indian MPs definitely have not set their priorities. Its a pity they dont understand the difference between the indiferrence of the Indian Coach to his team's performances and their(the MPs) apathy towards lot many burning issues in the country.
But, on the whole Greg Chappell's comments were really unwarranted.
@Karikalan: Didn't he do that once in Bengal???
@karikalan: No one would object to the MPs saying such things outside the parliament.(This is what all other Indians do)But one should keep in mind that they r using the precious little time that remains after all the shouting and inactivity for discussing such useless things .
Also who said Sharad pawar was not criticized when he decided to run for the BCCI president. only that there is no need to bring in his BCCI face now to do that as we all know even if he has extra time he wouldnt be able to stop all these suicides. Its not because of lack of time but because of lack of initiatives. Dont u know how many endowments, trusts and committees these Congressmen(not exactly) head? Also remember that the agri crisis started even before the Vidharba suicides.
Regarding your point that cricket is the passion of the nation: The Indian politicians never have passion for anything but know how to play around things that people are passionate about.(Remember the Indo-Pak cricket series before the last Prliamentary elections)
Regarding Chapell's comment i think either u havent read that properly or u should be really having trouble with your comprehension.
@VAC:
Who knows? Chapell could well have had the Indian cricketers in mind when he commented about the Indian MPs.
vac... you were right after all da... greg must go and dada must come back with an indian coach...
